As part of an Essential Skill awareness and capacity building campaign, TOWES will deliver an information session for Immigrant Services Calgary this Friday. Using funds from the Essential Skills Workplace Services (ESWS) Project (an Office of Literacy & Essential Skills initiative), TOWES is able to provide no-cost Essential Skills (ES) services to employers. This allows organizations to integrate ES approaches for training, hiring and succession planning.
With Immigrant Services Calgary, TOWES will build off of the initial workshop to create a short training session targeting the specific skills required of the organization’s different service areas, ultimately to help employees increase ES levels relative to their on-the-job demands. This will allow Immigrant Services Calgary to add an additional level of competency to their service delivery model.
Immigrant Services Calgary is committed to learning more about Essential Skills and how an ES approach will benefit not only their organizational structure, but the clientele that they serve.
